Navy Yard Restaurants with Happy Hour: Jackie's Week, Tuesday to Sunday
The same American restaurant, a different reason to sit down each day it is open
Jackie: don't plan the week, taste it.
Which Navy Yard Restaurant Keeps the Same Bar Prices Every Day It Is Open?
Jackie Restaurant at 79 Potomac Ave SE runs happy hour from 4 to 6 PM every day it is open, Tuesday through Sunday, with $5 beer, $7 wine by the glass and $9 cocktails. Game nights and weekends included.
What changes from day to day is the second layer: a Tuesday martini price, a Thursday wine list at half price, a Friday brunch that starts at noon and hands over to the 4-to-6 prices at four. Each day at this American restaurant in Washington DC adds one thing the others do not.
This is that week, walked through. For the wider neighborhood, including the bars and dining rooms on the surrounding blocks, there is a separate guide to Navy Yard restaurants.
What Does Each Day of the Week Look Like at Jackie?
The dining room is closed on Mondays. From Tuesday the week builds toward the weekend, and each day carries one thing the others do not. Times below are the ones printed on the menu and event pages at jackiedc.com.
Tuesday: $5 Martinis at the Bar
Martini Tuesdays bring $5 martinis, served at the bar only.
Wednesday: Just the 4-to-6 Prices
No special program, just the daily 4 to 6 PM prices and the bar bites: daily baked focaccia, marinated olives, the crab croquette with spicy aioli, meatballs in Roquefort fondue, and Angus beef sliders with caramelized onion and gruyère.
Thursday: Every Wine Bottle at 50% Off
Wine Thursdays take 50% off all wine bottles on the menu. The list runs from a Friuli prosecco and a Franciacorta to Willamette pinot noir and a 2020 Bordeaux blend, so the night rewards sitting down for a full dinner rather than a quick glass.
Friday: Brunch from Noon, Bar Prices at Four
On Fridays the doors open at noon and the brunch menu runs until 4 PM, when the 4-to-6 prices begin. The Jackie Benedict with salmon caviar is on that brunch menu.
Saturday and Sunday: Brunch 11 AM to 3 PM, Then the Evening
Weekend brunch carries the bar specials: bottomless mimosas or bellinis at $35 for the whole table across 90 minutes, a $49 mimosa bar with three juices and a bottle of Veuve Olivier brut rosé, or the $59 Lambrusco bar with chocolate and strawberries. The 4-to-6 prices still apply on weekends, and Jackie is open until 10 PM.
What Does $5 Buy from 4 to 6?
All draft and bottled beer is $5 from 4 to 6 PM, against a regular price of $10 to $13. Three of those beers exist only here. Dachnik is a 4.4% Helles lager brewed for Jackie by Weihenstephaner; The Offside is a 5.5% session IPA from Right Proper; Dolly is a 5.5% blonde Belgian ale made by St. Bernardus. The rest of the list is Weihenstephaner's wheat beers, Guinness, Port City and a Downeast cider.
Wine by the glass drops to $7 across the same list served at dinner, and the $9 cocktail is your choice of spirit and mixer, or the bar's Daily Punch.
Where Is Jackie and When Is It Open?
